5 Healthy Breakfast Foods You Should Eat Everyday

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So why treat it any differently. A healthy breakfast is the key to good
health. Here are a few breakfast foods that you should eat daily.

Apples: An apple a day keeps the doctor away. We mean this in the most literal way possible. Apples are known to
avoid Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s because of its high fibre content. Apples are rich in flavonol. This reduces the risk of
several cancers. Apple peels have triterpenoids that help fight cancer cells in the liver, colon and breast. Rich soluble
fibres in apple help curb diabetes and reduce cholesterol levels in the body. Apples keep you full for a long time and help
control your weight. People who eat apples on a regular basis have stronger immune systems. Apples have also been
found to help prevent heart ailments.

Eggs: Forget the old myth of eating only the egg white. Eat the entire egg! Eggs help you feel full and help you stick
to your diet. Studies show that people who eat egg everyday are more likely to lose weight than those who don’t. It
has high protein content that assists in brain development and results in better memory. Eggs don’t increase your
cholesterol level. In fact, they do the opposite. It is rich in amino acids and helps complete your balanced diet. Lutein
and zeaxanthin are antioxidants in eggs that are known to protect the eyes from UV rays.

Spinach: We’ve seen Popeye do it, so why not give it a try? Spinach is rich in glycoglycerolipids that protect the lining of
the digestive tract from damage caused by unwanted inflammation. Spinach is also known to fight aggressive prostate
cancer. Epoxyxanthophylls, neoxanthin and violaxanthin, types of carotenoids, fight cancer cells effectively. Spinach
is rich in cancer fighting carotenoids. However, these carotenoids do not get as easily absorbed as the rest. A cup of
cooked spinach can provide your body with Vitamins A, K, B and E and minerals like magnesium, zinc and potassium.

Blueberries: Say no to cupcakes and muffins. Eat a cup of blueberries every morning to have a healthy start to your
day. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants like anthocyanadins and are a good source for phytonutrients. The antioxidants
present in Blueberries help prevent early ageing and protect your body from cancer and chronic heart ailments. They
prevent cell damage by neutralizing radicles. It also helps keep diseases like Alzheimer’s at bay.

Winter Squash: Squash is rich in fibre. It feels heavy on the stomach and keeps you feeling content for quite some
time. It is filled with nutrients and has a very high content of Beta carotene, Vitamin C, Potassium and Vitamin B. Beta
carotene helps fight cancer, cataracts and heart diseases. It helps prevent lung inflammation and emphysema. Winter
Squash is more fibrous and nutritious than a summer squash. Try using ingredients from your own garden, if you have
one, to make your own delicious squash.

Eat hearty but eat healthy. Look for healthy breakfast recipes to kick start your day.
